Denis Barron graduated from Penn State University in 1977 with a degree in
Agronomy and has been in the green industry since. He dedicated the first 20 years
of his career to the golf sector, spending time as a golf course superintendent,
general manager, and managing the construction of several greater St. Louis region
courses. In 1995, Denny opened Agro-Logics, LLC – a turf and ornamental product
distributor. “I enjoy working with professionals from each sector of the green
industry, and doing anything I can to help them with their own unique challenges”.
Denny has established himself as one of the foremost experts in soil science,
including soil chemistry and physical properties, plant nutrition and physiology, and
organic nutrition / sustainable growing. Over the years, Denny began to get more
and more interested in the art and science of maintaining athletic fields. Today, he is
one of the most knowledgeable and innovative thinkers in the region, with regards
to athletic field management.
