In 1987, Jon Wingo started a company dedicated to landscaping in an unconventional manner-restoring natural plant communities. His firm has seen unprecedented growth in the past few years and grown to include 12 employees and recently acquired a 20+ year old native seed company. DJM's reach now extends past the St. Louis metro area restoring ecosystems in Missouri and adjacent states.

Jon spends plenty of time promoting the benefits of natives through a variety of non-profits devoted to conservation and restoration. He recently served as President of the Missouri Prairie Foundation. Jon has been instrumental in outreach opportunities to professionals in the Shaw Series for Landscaping Professionals and has served on the NRCS Technical Committee. His newest job description involves passing along all of his restoration wisdom to his first grandson, Jace.
